Prep baseball: South Whidbey 8, University Prep 3

BELLINGHAM — South Whidbey defeated University Prep in the 1A District Baseball tournament Saturday in a loser-out contest, extending its state tournament hopes.

Ricky Muzzy for the Falcons was perfect at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a triple, two walks and scored three times. Austin Sterba went 1-for-3 and also scored three runs.
