Schools can offer privacy with portable toilets

A simple solution to the issue of gender identity and bathroom use in our schools would be to provide banks of portable toilets in various areas throughout the campuses. We all use the same Sani-cans at outdoor concerts, street fairs and similar events, and we all use the same toilets on airplanes. Ideally this would be a temporary fix until the existing facilities can be redesigned to provide fully-enclosed and secure “water closets” for individual use. The same will need to be done for showers in locker rooms. Private marinas provide individual shower facilities for their guests and it seems to work for everyone. Redesigning all the restrooms in our public schools will be expensive. But it appears to be the only way to accommodate everyone equally and put an end to all the squabbling.
