Here are three local prep events this week that you won’t want to miss:

1. Baseball: Arlington at Cascade, 4 p.m. Wednesday. Last season, the Bruins won the Wesco 4A championship, while the Eagles finished second in the Wesco 3A North. Both squads advanced to their respective state quarterfinal rounds.

2. Softball: Jackson at Snohomish, 4 p.m. Thursday. These two teams were the two best squads in Wesco 4A last season, but will meet in a non-conference game this year after Snohomish dropped to 3A. The Panthers won the state championship last year, while the Timberwolves took fourth at state.

3. Boys soccer: Glacier Peak at Snohomish, 7:30 p.m. Friday. In an area loaded with quality boys soccer programs, Snohomish stands out. The Panthers finished fourth at last year’s 4A state tournament. The Grizzlies advanced to the 3A state quarterfinals last season.
