These Everett Animal Shelter dogs need homes
Charlie is a fun little guy looking for an active home! He has lived with another dog his size and done well but would like a meet and greet with any resident canines prior to adoption. Any children in the home should be over 7 years old. We do not know how he will do with cats but he may chase them for fun. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Dakota is here looking for a new home as her owner has passed away. She has lived a sheltered life and is a bit shy. She has not been around children or other dogs and does chase cats. Dakota needs time to adjust and then becomes your best friend! We are recommending any children in the home be over the age of 12 years and used to large breed shy dogs. She will also need a meet and greet with any resident dogs. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Flip is your typical busy Beagle! He will need secure confinement when not being supervised and apartment living is not for him. A home with Beagle experience would be really helpful and a meet and greet with any resident canines. Flip is a fun loving guy and seems to love everybody he meets. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Hunter is a fun little guy looking for an active home! He has lived with another dog his size and done well but would like a meet and greet with any resident canines prior to adoption. Any children in the home should be over 12 years old. We do not know how he will do with cats but he may chase them for fun. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Mannie is a beagle with a lot to say! If he could talk he would tell you that he needs an active home with a big yard (so no apartments or condos) and that he is very particular about his dog friends so any resident canines need a meet and greet beforehand. No felines, critters or livestock. Mannie would also like to tell you that he can be very vocal and you should make sure your neighbors wont be upset with him when he talks. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Simba is a very unique guy! He is a deaf Catahoula Leopard Dog looking for a home that knows about or is willing to learn about living with a deaf dog. Any children in his home should be over 7 years old and able to give Simba his space. He has never lived with another dog and can be very wary when meeting other canines. If there is another canine in the home he will need a meet and greet prior to adoption. Once Simba gets to his new home he will need his new owners to go very slow when introducing him to his new surroundings. Simba will need a feline free home and a very secure fenced yard. The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.

All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now. Here is the previous post featuring animals up for adoption.

If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.
