ODESSA — A 1,200-acre wildfire driven by 25 mph winds was burning across mostly sagebrush in Lincoln County on Monday, threatening four homes near the Grant County line.
Brian Schaeffer, assistant fire chief in Spokane, said the fire was about four miles long and running quickly. A command team from Spokane County was called out to provide management expertise.
Fire strike teams from the state Department of Natural Resources were being mobilized.
Cause of the fire, about five miles north of Marlin, is under investigation.
