Do they make holsters for recliners? Even though RadioShack has asked one of their shop owners to stop, the Montana man says he will not end his deal to give a pistol or shotgun (and a free background check) to anyone who signs up for a two-year Dish Network TV contract.
The offer has been an economic boon for the shop owner, he said, because customers who turn to C-SPAN end up buying replacements for the satellite dishes they plug full of holes.

On the town: A venomous Egyptian cobra, missing for nearly a week from the Bronx Zoo, was found in the reptile house and lured from her hiding place with the scent of rodents.
The snake, speaking through its boa constrictor spokessnake, said she actually had left the reptile house for a few days but returned for her own safety. “New York is a dangerous place,” the cobra was quoted as saying. “Have you seen the size of their rats?”

WTH, WTO? The World Trade Organization, ruling on a European Union complaint on behalf of Airbus, said that Boeing received $5.3 billion in illegal federal, state and local aid that cost Airbus $45 billion in sales. The ruling follows an earlier WTO determination that Airbus had received $20 billion in illegal subsidies.
The United States plans to appeal the ruling under the legal theory of “he started it.”
