Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation as well as community service groups and business are offering more than 100 scholarships to members of the class of 2011 who live within the boundaries of the Stanwood-Camano School District. Eligible students includ
e those who are taught at home or attend private schools out of the area.

Join in: Events offered in Bothell
The Bothell Sons of Norway Lodge is set to host a series of events from Feb. 26 to May 7.
•A lefse cooking class will be offered at the lodge at 9 a.m. Feb. 26. The class is $5 for members, $10 for non-members. Registration is required. Call Mike Nelson at 425-486-5275 for details.
A dinner and information seminar for prospective members will be held at the lodge at 2 p.m. Feb. 27. Reservations are required. Contact Jerry Scheinberg at 425-877-1345.
Two Norwegian Youth camps will be offered at the lodge to people age 8 to 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 5 and May 7. The camps are free to members, $5 for non-members. Registration is required. Contact Seth Tufteland at sofnseth@yahoo.com.
The free Annual Nordic Heritage day will be held at the lodge at 10 a.m. March 12. The event features food and craft demonstrations, music, genealogy, crafts for sale, fjord horses and cart demonstrations.

Help: High school seeks volunteers
Lake Stevens High School is seeking volunteers to view and comment on student Culminating Exhibitions with staff members.
The Culminating Exhibition is a project for graduating seniors and range from PowerPoint presentations, standard portfolios or tri-fold board presentations.
Volunteers will be paired with two teachers to view student presentations and provide input during the evaluation process.
The exhibition is from 7:30 to 10 a.m. March 15 to 17, April 12 and May 16 to 18 (dates tentative).
The high school is at 12309 22nd Street NE, Lake Stevens.

Go: Library hosts events
The Mukilteo Library is hosting several events in February.
•The Mukilteo Evening Book Group will be held at 7 tonight. The group will be discussing the book “Inés of My Soul” by Isabel Allende. Copies of the book are available at the library’s check out desk.
Keepin’ Knit Real, a knitting group, will meet at the library from 10 a.m. to noon today and Feb. 24 to share knowledge and build skills. All skill levels are welcome. Beginners must bring a pair of number eight or nine needles and a skein of worsted-weight yarn.
English as a Second Language Talk Time, a group for adults to practice speaking English in a friendly and supportive setting, is set for 7 p.m. on Feb. 28. The group will be led by trained ESL tutors.
The Mukilteo Daytime Book Group is set for 10 a.m. Feb. 28. The group will be discussing the book “Zeitoun” by Dave Eggers. Copies of the book are available at the library’s check-out desk.
