Best performance by a sight-challenged marsupial: Heidi, the cross-eyed opossum at the Leipzig Zoo in Germany, who became an Internet sensation earlier this year, has now been tapped to predict this year’s Oscar winners. Heidi’s picks are scheduled to be announced on ABC’s “The Jimmy Kimmel Show” on Feb. 27.
If it goes well, Heidi could expand this into a red-carpet gig. Our advice to Joan Rivers: No cracks about Heidi’s eyes; those teeth look sharp.
Real colas have curves: Pepsi has introduced a taller and slimmer Diet Pepsi can at New York’s Fashion Week, but has drawn complaints from the National Eating Disorders Association for the can’s reinforcement of dangerous stereotypes about women and body image.
Unless we missed the models at Fashion Week wearing the latest Dolce&Gabbana aluminum cylinder with a pop top, we don’t think it’s a look that’s going to catch on.
Pushing tin: Aviation officials are seeking an explanation for the apparent increase in the number of near collisions between airliners and other planes in U.S. skies.
Being an air traffic controller can’t be an easy job; having to keep jets from colliding, while at the same time making sure your crops don’t die in FarmVille.
