Fire Sirens meet
Madrona Fire Sirens Auxiliary meets at noon today at the Vista/Madrona Fire Station, 273 NW Camano Drive on Camano Island.
They plan to elect new officers and board members. Bring a bag lunch. Dessert, tea and coffee will be served.
The Madrona Fire Sirens support the volunteer firefighters of Camano Island.
Make a scarf at the library: Make a warm fleece scarf at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Mukilteo Library, 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd. in Mukilteo.
No sewing is required and all supplies are free.

Defensive driving for seniors: Those age 55 and older can register at the Ken Baxter Community Center, 514 Delta Ave. in Marysville for a defensive driving course.
The two-day classroom course is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 9 and 10 at the Marysville Fire Station 66.
The cost of the class is $12 for AARP members and $14 for nonmembers.
The fire station is located at 7217 40th St. NE. in Marysville.

Donations needed for fair auction: The Silvana Fair Board Auction is set for March 12 at Viking Hall in Silvana with auctioneers George Magnochi and Dave Fenton. The door prize at the end of the auction is $250 in cash.
Fair board members plan to collect donations from merchants. People who want to donate new items for the auction are asked to call 360-652-8682.
