Catch a tanker by the toe: More details emerged Thursday about the U.S. Air Force’s errant swap of data for its aerial refueling tanker contract between Boeing and EADS, with the Air Force promising to level the playing field after an EADS employee got a brief peek at details about Boeing’s plane.
To level the playing field and bring an end to the 10-year saga, the Air Force will determine the bid winner with the best of three rounds of eeny meeny miny moe.

Fair’s fair: New Seattle Mariners manager Eric Wedge is promising high expectations for his players as spring training nears with hopes of emulating the Seattle Seahawks’ recent success in defying predictions to make the playoffs.
Toward that end, the Mariners front office has petitioned Major League Baseball to allow the team to play all of its games against teams from the NFC West.
