Way beyond Thunderdome: An official at the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network says that Seahawk Marshawn Lynch’s 67-yard touchdown run, which capped Seattle’s playoff win Saturday against New Orleans, generated enough seismic activity to be recorded on monitors at a nearby seismic station.

The seismic activity wasn’t triggered by excited Seahawk fans, as you might have assumed, but by the knocking knees of oddsmakers who had picked the Seahawks to lose by 10 points.

Can you hear me now? Ever since the iPhone was released, anyone who wanted an iPhone had to get their service through AT&T, which was the iPhone’s exclusive provider. At the end of the month, Verizon will offer service for the iPhone, but it will only be available on its 3G network, which is slower than its 4G network.

That’s OK by us. If we can have an iPhone without having to shell out to AT&T, we’ll speak as slowly as we have to.
