Prosecutors in Italy are investigating whether Premier Silvio Berlusconi paid for sex with a teenage girl and then abused his power in a bid to cover up the encounters.
It’s unclear whether this will finally dislodge the scandal-plagued Berlusconi, but we can say that such an allegation would likely topple an American politician — and “likely” goes to “definitely” if there’s an ACORN angle.

The state has approved a razor clam dig for Thursday through Jan. 22 at two ocean beaches.

Steele’d for defeat
After two gaffe-prone years in office, Michael Steele on Friday abandoned his bid to be re-elected national chairman of the Republican Party.
To replace Steele, the GOP tapped one Reince Priebus — apparently preferring a guy with a wacky name over a guy who says wacky stuff.
