Prep softball: Lake Stevens 7, Monroe 4

MONROE — Lake Stevens scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning to pull away from Monroe Tuesday night and pick up a Wesco 4A win.

Payton Beaver led the offense for Lake Stevens with a 3-for-5 night at the plate that included a home run and four RBI.

It is the seventh win in a row for the Vikings.
