Matthew King, Glacier Peak swimming & diving

King, a sophomore, posted 4A state qualifying times in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle during the Grizzlies’ tri-meet with Snohomish and Mariner at Snohomish Aquatic Center.

Jon Cook, Jackson swimming & diving

Cook, a senior Stanford commit, will cap his illustrious Timberwolves career by holding the school record in every individual event with the exception of diving. Jackson beat Lake Stevens 109-61, and Cook won two individual events and swam on two winning relays.

Eladio Fountain, F, Shorecrest

Fountain, a sophomore, scored 17 points as the Scots thrashed Lynnwood 80-36 in a Wesco 3A matchup.

Baily Alvis, Marysville Pilchuck wrestling

Alvis, a senior 138-pounder, picked up a major decision over Everett’s Dayne Tuohimaa in the final bout of the evening, winning the match for the Tomahawks 34-33.
