Prep softball: Cedarcrest 7, Sultan 2

DUVALL — Cedarcrest freshman starter Lauren Rich pitched a complete game with 18 strikeouts while allowing only two hits and the Red Wolves picked up a Cascade Conference win Monday against Sultan. Elaine Townley, LuAnn Townley and Allie Mccain added an RBI apiece to lead the offense. Sultan starter Shelby Jeffries pitched effectively for the Turks despite three errors by her defense, allowing only two earned runs in six innings. It is the fifth win in a row for Cedarcrest.
