Incoming King’s freshman playing in Jr. NBA world tournament

Jada Wynn, an incoming King’s High School freshman, is set to play in a nationally televised basketball game Friday morning.
Wynn and her Tree of Hope Pacific AAU girls basketball team are playing in the inaugural Jr. NBA World Championship, a 16-team tournament featuring top 14-and-under squads from around the world. The tournament is held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Florida.
Tree of Hope Pacific, which qualified for the tournament as the Northwest regional champions, will face the top-seeded South Carolina 76ers in a U.S. quarterfinal at 11 a.m. Friday on Fox Sports 1. The winner advances to Saturday’s U.S. semifinals, which will be televised on Bleacher Report Live. The U.S. championship game is Saturday afternoon on FOX, and the world championship game is Sunday afternoon on FOX.
Wynn averaged 12.7 points and three rebounds per game in Tree of Hope Pacific’s three pool-play contests earlier this week. Tree of Hope Pacific lost all three games and is the No. 8 seed in the eight-team U.S. bracket.
Wynn is the daughter of Jody Wynn, the University of Washington women’s basketball head coach.
