PLAYER OF THE YEAR
RaeQuan Battle, sr., W, Marysville Pilchuck
The University of Washington-bound star averaged 22 points and nine rebounds per game while leading the Tomahawks to the Wesco 3A/2A title, a district crown and a program-best fourth-place state trophy. In the most spectacular performance of his highlight-filled season, Battle totaled a school-record 43 points and 23 rebounds and made a game-winning layup at the buzzer to beat Edmonds-Woodway.
COACH OF THE YEAR
Tevin Dillon, Mariner
In his third season at the helm, the former Mariner standout guided his alma mater to its first winning season since 2009. After three-win campaigns each of the past two years, the Marauders finished 14-10 and advanced to the state regionals.
FIRST TEAM
RaeQuan Battle, sr., W, Marysville Pilchuck
Malakhi Knight, soph., G, Marysville Getchell
Knight averaged 25.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.8 steals per game while leading the Chargers to a program-best 11 wins. The Oregon State baseball commit scored at least 30 points nine times, including a school-record 39 points in a win over Stanwood.
Anthony Whitis, sr., G, Arlington
Whitis averaged 17.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.3 steals per game. The standout point guard helped lead the Eagles to the state regionals.
Kolton Smith, sr., G, Snohomish
Smith averaged 20.6 points and nine rebounds per game while shooting 37 percent from 3-point range.
Mitch Jones, sr., F, Stanwood
Jones averaged 16.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game while leading the youth-laden Spartans to the state regionals. The 6-foot-4 forward posted six double-doubles, including 27 points and 19 rebounds in a win over Archbishop Murphy.
SECOND TEAM
Edwin Bouah, sr., G, Mariner
Bouah averaged 13 points, 4.8 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 2.2 steals per game. The speedy, do-everything point guard led the Marauders to the state regionals and the program’s first winning season in a decade.
Mutdung Bol, jr., G, Edmonds-Woodway
Bol averaged 17.9 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. His biggest performance came in a win over Arlington, when he totaled 38 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and four steals.
Ben Olesen, sr., G, Jackson
Olesen averaged 10 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals per game. The senior point guard helped lead the Timberwolves to the Wesco 4A title and a Hardwood Classic appearance.
Josh Gutierrez, sr., W, Arlington
Gutierrez averaged 15.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game while helping lead the Eagles to the state regionals. He hit seven 3-pointers in a district semifinal win over Marysville Getchell.
Skyler Hammer, sr., G/F, Shorewood
Hammer averaged 16.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game while shooting 39.2 percent from 3-point range. After a one-win season last year, Hammer led the Thunderbirds on a significant turnaround that fell just short of a state regional appearance.
