KENNEWICK — The Everett Silvertips dictated Game 4. Now, they dictate the series.

Everett outshot Tri-City 38-24 and Dustin Wolf recorded his first career playoff shutout as the Silvertips upended the Americans, 3-0, on Thursday at the Toyota Center to go up 3-1 in a Western Hockey League first-round playoff series.

The Silvertips have a chance to wrap up the series on Saturday at Angel of the Winds Arena.

Bryce Kindopp collected his second goal of the playoffs at 12:34 to break open the scoring. Connor Dewar swiped the puck from a Tri-City defenseman and danced past him to create a two-on-zero chance, which Kindopp finished past Tri-City goaltender Beck Warm’s blocker side.

A fortuitous bounce allowed the Silvertips to jump out to a 2-0 lead at 7:56 in the second. Gianni Fairbrother hammered a shot from the left point to his short side, but the puck caromed off the boards behind the net right to Max Patterson’s stick, who snapped a shot from the right circle past Warm.

The Silvertips weren’t able to pour on goals, but dominated zone time over the first two periods, especially in the first with a 14-5 advantage on the shot clock.

The Americans elected for the extra skater with 4:06 remaining, but the Silvertips’ defense held strong and Zack Andrusiak eventually leaked out to tap in an empty-net goal, his second of the playoffs, to push Everett’s lead to 3-0 and seal it with 41 seconds remaining.

Kindopp was credited with the assist on the third goal and was the only skater to finish with a multi-point night.

Warm stopped 35 of 37 shots in the loss.

The Silvertips went 1 of 5 with the power play and killed off both of their penalties.
