Here are prep stars of the night for Friday, March 29:
Lilianne Fischer, Marysville Pilchuck softball
Fischer, a senior, went 2-for-2 with a pair of home runs, drove in five runs and scored three more during the Tomahawks’ 13-3 win over Archbishop Murphy in a Wesco 3A/2A game. Fischer also started the game in the circle, striking out four in four innings of work.
Caden Lockhart, Everett baseball
Lockhart, a junior, went 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored and three RBI in the Seagulls’ 8-7 win against Stanwood, a victory that he helped preserve after coming from behind the plate to pitch the seventh inning. He allowed two runs, but made an alert defensive play on a bunt back to the mound with runners on first and second to get Everett out of the jam.
Jacob Burkett, Arlington baseball
Burkett, a sophomore, struck out 10 in six scoreless innings to help the Eagles complete a three-game Wesco 3A North sweep of Snohomish. Burkett also drove in two runs at the plate in Arlington’s 8-0 win.
Austin Duffy and Andrew Martin, Everett boys golf
Duffy and Martin each recorded 36-hole scores of 154 at the Champions’ Invitational in Indio, California.
Christian Engmann, King’s boys soccer
Engmann, a junior, recorded a hat trick and dished out two assists to help the Knights blank Sultan 8-0 in a North Sound Conference match.
