Prep basketball: King’s 55, Auburn Mountainview 36

KENT — Corey Kispert scored 14 points and Noah Bundrant added 11 to lead King’s to a 55-36 win over Auburn Mountainview on Monday at ShoWare Center.

Auburn Mountainview came into the game ranked No. 9 in the state in the most recent Associated Press Class 3A boys basketball poll. King’s was ranked No. 2 in Class 1A.

The Knights led 23-19 at halftime, then extended their lead to 15 points by outscoring Auburn Mountainview 19-8 in the third period.
