LYNNWOOD — An hours-long standoff ended after a man surrendered to Snohomish County law enforcement Sunday night.

A family disturbance call in the morning led deputies to a home in the area of 50th Place W. and 163rd Place SW, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Courtney O’Keefe said. A 34-year-old Edmonds man allegedly was armed and blockaded the house, from which he refused to come out for about 5 hours.

A Region 1 SWAT team arrived around 12:30 p.m. and some nearby streets were blocked as a safety precaution.

Around 5:30 p.m., he gave himself up without injury.
