SHORELINE — Kevin Villalobos scored 24 points to lead Mariner to a non-conference victory over Shorecrest in the season opener for both teams on Tuesday.

Drew Magaoay added 24 for Shorecrest, which had a good look at a shot to win it with two seconds left but came up short.
