EVERETT — Jacob Wright broke a tie with a goal early in the third period and the Everett Silvertips bounced back from their first loss of the season with a 3-1 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds on Friday evening at Angel of the Winds Arena.

Gianni Fairbrother netted his first goal of the season in the first and Cole Fonstad added an empty-net goal late in the third.

Dustin Wolf stopped 19 of 20 shots for Everett (6-1-0-0).

Thomas Milic stopped 25 of 27 shots for Seattle (4-3-0-0), which beat the Silvertips 2-1 on Wednesday.
