BREMERTON — Arlington opened the scoring in the 7th minute and never looked back, defeating Central Kitsap by a wide margin in the first round of the 3A state girls soccer tournament Tuesday.

“We just came out and played pressure-confident soccer,” Arlington head coach Nathan Davis said about the Eagles’ strong start. “One of our goals was to pressure them, and that was what we were trying to do.”

Danielle Baker scored a hat trick and Bre Morren had two goals in the victory. McKenzie Buell and Kaylee Bartley had two assists for the Eagles.

Arlington will face a tough Bellevue team in the quarterfinal round this week, but Davis says his team isn’t fazed.

“We can play with anybody. At this point in the season anyone can win.”
