SNOHOMISH — One person was displaced after a house fire Friday morning in a Silver Firs neighborhood east of Mill Creek. Nobody was injured.
People reported seeing flames at a home around 9 a.m. in the 4900 block of 140th Street SE, according to South County Fire spokesperson Leslie Hynes.
It took firefighters a little under an hour to get the fire under control. A driver who was headed south on I-5 near Marysville reported they could see plumes of smoke.
The Red Cross responded to assist the resident displaced by the fire.
The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office was investigating the fire’s cause.
The house sustained heavy damage, Hynes said, including a collapsed roof and damage in multiple rooms.
