Silvertips’ offense rolls again in win over Americans

EVERETT — Just two days after scoring nine goals in a win over Spokane, the Everett offense was at it again as the Silvertips pounded the back of the net in an 8-2 win over the Tri-City Americans on Friday night at Angel of the Winds Arena.

Hunter Campbell potted a hat trick, and Ben Hemmerling, Olen Zellweger, Niko Huuhtanen, Alex Swetlikoff and Jacob Wright all scored single goals as the Silvertips outshot the Americans 50-28.

Zellweger had five assists and Michal Gut added three assists for the Silvertips.

Braden Holt stopped 26 of 28 shots in goal for Everett (18-1-1-1).

Nick Avakyan stopped 34 of 40 shots and Cole Tisdale made eight saves in 10 attempts in relief for Spokane (5-12-2-1).
