Silvertips beat rival Thunderbirds 4-2

EVERETT — Jacob Wright scored two goals in the first period and assisted on Aidan Sutter’s difference-maker in the third as the Everett Silvertips beat the Seattle Thunderbirds 4-2 on Sunday in a rivalry clash at Angel of the Winds Arena.
Sutter’s second goal of the season at the 9:33 mark of the third put Everett (30-7-2-2, 64 points) up 3-1. Seattle’s Reid Schaefer made it 3-2 less than three minutes later.
Everett’s Jackson Berezowski added an empty-netter in the closing seconds.
Henrik Rybinski also scored for the Thunderbirds (23-11-4-1, 51).
Braden Holt recorded 32 saves in 34 chances and picked up the win for the Silvertips.
Thomas Milic had 33 stops in 36 attempts and took the loss for Seattle.
