Arlington girls race past rival Stanwood for district title

EVERETT — Top-seeded Arlington (18-2) rolled past No.3-seed Stanwood (12-4) by a score of 52-39 to capture the 3A District 1 Tournament championship on Saturday night.

The game was the second of the season between the two rivals, with the Eagles winning the first game 57-47 on Jan. 8.

Both teams advanced to the state tournament.
