Left and right seek to ban books, ideas

It looks to me like both the right wing and left wing are fine with bans. The left-wingers want to be rid of “To Kill a Mockingbird” and the people on the right would do the same to “Maus.”
Some want statues of George Washington removed but say nothing about Vladimir Lenin standing proud in Seattle’s Freemont neighborhood.
Now I read that many right-wingers are looking at ways to restrict votes in cities which usually vote for candidates from the left. Donald Trump lost the election in virtually all of the major cities so we see where that comes from. The left-wingers are whining about states with low populations having way too many electoral votes. Guess who those states voted for?
It looks to me that both side want to take away our rights, just different ones. I think our Constitution is an amazing document and should be respected by all sides.
