Low-income taxpayers can qualify for deferral

This letter is in reply to the gentleman voicing his concern about school taxing levies passing in Everett. A solution to his dilemma of being unable to pay taxes and afford his medications may be to apply for a reduction in his property taxes through the Snohomish County Assessor’s Office’s Limited Income Taxpayer program. Qualified low-income seniors who meet the criteria and submit the proper records can have their property taxes reduced significantly. I hope this helps.
