Learn how to photograph birds in three-part workshop

A three-part workshop on bird photography will be offered by the Streamkeeper Academy in Everett.
“Bird Photography: Tools and Techniques with Bill Ray” is set for 7:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 4, 11 and 18 at the Northwest Stream Center, 600 128th Street St. SE, Everett.
In the workshop, participants will learn to make appealing, sharp bird photos even if they are new to photography. Skills taught will include getting close to birds and other animals ethically, camera settings, especially autofocus, and photo editing methods.
The class is geared for photographers moving up to their first digital camera with a long lens. But equipment is not necessary to take the classes.

Instructor Bill Ray is an award-winning photographer whose photos have been in juried art shows like the Edmonds Arts Festival and Schack Art Center Everett.
