Other groups would appreciate pet food donations

It is wonderful that the Everett Animal Shelter has received a lot of dog food (“Everett Animal Shelter ‘overshelmed’ with dog food donations,” The Herald, July 19)! However, shelters are not the only group who need pet food. We have run an animal food bank for low-income families on food stamps for 20 years, along with helping those families with vet care, as funds are available.

We also feed about 100 community cats each day in Snohomish and King counties. We have been out of dog and cat food for the last five weeks and we are using our meager savings to purchase it, but that can only go on for so long. Please, we need your help too. Our Wish List is
