Be wary of Russia’s retreat in Ukraine

This is Russia’s oldest trick: They retreat in the end of summer. The enemy, Ukraine this time, follows hot on its tail. Arctic-like winter shows up. The foolish army, thinking they are winning, freezes to death. The Romans didn’t fall for it. The French, following Napoleon, did. Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Army did big time.

It was not a total loss. The Germans destroyed a lot of Russian property. The USSR needed it to survive the winter also. Hitler’s Operation Barbarossa, in the year 1941, was the largest military invasion in history.
