Singles semifinals—Steven Anderson (Edmonds-Woodway) def. Zach Overbay (Monroe) 6-4, 7-5. Russell Anderson (Edmonds-Woodway) def. Cade Strickland (Snohomish) 6-3, 6-3. Doubles semifinals—Grant Oliver-Nalu Akiona (Edmonds-Woodway) def. Jude Wilcox-Armon Mkrtychev (Edmonds-Woodway) 6-3, 6-4. Blake Gettmann-Murray Falkin (Shorewood) def. Ty Rusko-Cooper McBride 6-0, 6-3.

Crossover play-in game

Shorewood 23, Cascade 22

SHORELINE — Eric Sowards threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Devin Gilbert on the final play of the game, but Shorewood stopped Cascade’s two-point try and the Stormrays advanced to face Arlington in a crossover game at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Shorewood took the lead with a touchdown with 52 seconds left in the fourth quarter on Eduardo Eulogio’s 20-yard TD run before Cascade marched back down the field for the thrilling finish.

Eulogio ran for 117 yards and two TDs, Grant Harley added 105 yards and a TD rushing and Alberto Solano connected on a 33-yard field goal for Shorewood (5-4).

Sowards completed 5 of 8 passes for 116 yards, Zach Lopez had 86 yards and a TD rushing and Julian Thomas added 82 yards and a TD on the ground for Cascade (8-1).

Shorewood had to defend the Wesco 3A South’s No. 5 seed from Cascade, which played an independent schedule but earned the shot at a crossover game by virtue of winning its first eight games.

The winner of the Shorewood-Arlington game will advance to the Week 10 playoffs.

Mountlake Terrace 2, Stanwood 0

EDMONDS — Ava Hunt scored twice in the second half and Sierra Sonko posted a shutout in goal to lift Mountlake Terrace to a league win over Stanwood.

Ally Villalobos and Emmalynn Kuenning each had an assist for Mountlake Terrace (9-2-4, 9-2-3 Wesco 3A/2A).

Stanwood fell to 4-11-0 overall and 4-10-0 in league play.

EVERETT — Jessi Mahler had 14 kills and five aces, and Karisa Martin added six kills to help lead Monroe to a league sweep over Everett.

Claire Brenna had four aces, Alexis Walker added 10 assists and Sarah Skold chipped in nine assists for Monroe (11-4, 11-3 Wesco 3A/2A).

Peyton Lust had 17 digs and two aces for Everett (3-11, 3-11).

Shorecrest 3, Mountlake Terrace 0

SHORELINE — Violet Burchak had 12 kills, six aces, five blocks and 18 assists, and Lily Starr added seven kills and two blocks to lift Shorecrest to a 25-22, 25-23, 25-21 league sweep over Mountlake Terrace.

Maria Alvarez had 15 digs, Ava Watson added seven digs and Lillian Reimer-Buffalo had two blocks for Shorecrest (10-7, 7-6 Wesco 3A/2A).

Maya Faulkner had three kills and nine digs, Tamyah Dabney added four kills and Haley Trinh chipped in 14 digs for Mountlake Terrace (5-11, 3-11).

Arlington 3, Shorewood 0

ARLINGTON — Chloe Fochesato had 10 kills, seven digs and one block, and Alyssa Hoag added seven kills and three digs and Arlington swept Shorewood 25-22, 25-23, 25-20 on Senior Night.

Meredith Marsh had 15 assists, four digs and two aces, and Cadynce Knudson added 11 assists, five digs, one kills and one ace for Arlington (10-5, 10-4 Wesco 3A/2A).

Shorewood fell to 10-6 overall and 7-6 in league play.
