What: Sedum cauticola ‘Lidakense’ is an excellent groundcover plant, particularly for hot, dry sites with poor soil. This variety forms a flat, dense mat of blue-gray leaves tinged with purple on its edges. Clusters of bright pink flowers appear in late summer and last into fall.

Where: Lidakense’ is well suited for the rock garden or as edging in a dry border, it is also a good choice for using in containers. Plant in well-drained or sandy soil under full sun.

Size: Grows to 6 inches by 1 foot in 10 years.

Care: Drought-tolerant once established. Cut to the ground in fall.
