Herald’s focus on climate topics is appreciated

We at the Snohomish Chapter of the Citizen’s Climate Lobby want to applaud The Herald’s continuous, serious coverage of climate, energy and environmental subjects. I checked a recent issue of the Weekend Herald and counted seven different articles ranging from recycling, power and energy matters and the future of our planet if climate change is not treated more seriously as well as a worldwide climate change disaster report, a relevant letter to the editor, a pertinent political cartoon and another wonderful article by Julie Titone, this one focusing on a current exhibit at the Schack Art Center showcasing the work of local artists sharing their concepts in a common theme of what the world is heading toward in way of the disappearance of natural beauty in our world (“Exhibits shine light on natural beauty on the edge of loss,” The Herald, March 26).

If a person wants to keep on top of climate change, global warming and related environmental/ecological matters, the best thing they should be doing is securing a subscription to the Daily Herald, a “one-stop shop” for tracking the on-going happenings regarding these issues. Even better would be becoming a frequent, generous donator to the newspaper’s Environmental and Climate Change Reporting Fund. How important are these issues; to you, your children and their children?
