The Athlete of the Week nominees for April 3-9. Voting closes at midnight Sunday. The winner will be announced with the next poll and in next Tuesday’s edition of The Herald.

Heaven Kim | Kamiak | Girls Golf
Kim, a junior, fired a 39 to earn medalist honors in a nine-hole Wesco 4A league match at Walter Hall Golf Course on March 29. She won The Herald’s Athlete of the Week voting March 27-April 2 by claiming 1,568 (49.3%) of 1,568 votes.
This week’s nominees
Molly McGeoy | Shorewood | Girls Track and Field
McGeoy, a senior, ran a winning time of 2 minutes, 23.16 seconds in the 800 meters at the Birger Solberg Invitational on April 8. She also helped Shorewood’s 4×800 relay secure a victory.
Jaquan Means | Kamiak | Boys Track and Field
Means, a senior, posted first-place finishes in the 110-meter hurdles and the 300 hurdles at the Birger Solberg Invitational on April 8. He finished the 100 hurdles in 15.10 seconds and the 300 hurdles 41.22 seconds.
Harlan Rowe | Monroe | Baseball
Rowe, a junior, pitched six innings, struck out six and allowed just two runs to earn the win on the mound and added a 1-for-3 day with an RBI and a run scored at the plate in the Bearcats’ 4-2 win over Archbishop Murphy on April 8. He also had two hits, three RBI, a run scored and a stolen base in Monroe’s 10-0 win over Marysville Getchell on April 4.
Christian Timoteo | Jackson | Boys Soccer
Timoteo, a senior, netted a pair of second-half goals to lift the Timberwolves to a 3-2 win over Kamiak on April 6.
Sydney Weitkamp | Lynnwood | Softball
Weitkamp, a senior, went 4-for-4 with a double and two home runs and pitched a complete game in the Royals’ 10-7 victory over Shorecrest on April 3. She also notched three hits, two RBI and three runs scored while also earning the win in the circle as Lynnwood beat Mountlake Terrace 13-11 on April 5.
