The Athlete of the Week nominees for April 10-16. Voting closes at midnight Sunday. The winner will be announced with the next poll and in next Tuesday’s edition of The Herald.

Christian Timoteo | Jackson | Boys Soccer

Timoteo, a senior, netted a pair of second-half goals to lift the Timberwolves to a 3-2 win over Kamiak on April 6. He won The Herald’s Athlete of the Week voting for April 3-9 by claiming 533 (43.3%) of 1,232 votes.

This week’s nominees

Grant Buckmiller | Lake Stevens | Boys Track and Field

Buckmiller, a senior, posted a personal-best time of 47.10 seconds in the 400 meters to claim first place at the Pasco Invitational on April 15. His time ranks first in Class 4A and is over 3.04 seconds better than his nearest competitor, according to athletic.net.

Alhagie Ceesay | Marysville Pilchuck | Boys Soccer

Ceesay, a junior, scored a pair of goals to lift the Tomahawks to a 2-1 win over Arlington on April 11. He added another goal in Marysville Pilchuck’s 2-1 victory over rival Marysville Getchell on April 14.

Rylie Gettmann | Shorewood | Girls Tennis

Gettmann, a sophomore, won all three of her No. 1 singles matches, including a pair of 6-0, 6-0 victories, while helping the Stormrays to a 3-0 week.

Katie Krueger | Lakewood | Softball

Krueger, a sophomore, went 4-for-4 with three doubles, five RBI and three runs scored, and struck out 10 while allowing just two hits in a six-inning complete game in the circle as the Cougars beat Anacortes 11-1 on April 11.

Isabella Martuch | Snohomish | Girls Track and Field

Martuch, a senior, posted winning times with a season-best 12.76 seconds in the 100 meters and personal-best 26.25 seconds in the 200 during a meet against Jackson and Lynnwood on April 13. Her 100 time ranks seventh and 200 time fifth in Class 3A, according to athletic.net.

Luke Strand | Kamiak | Boys Golf

Strand, a senior, fired a 1-under 71 to win the Tom Dolan Memorial Invitational on April 10 at Everett Golf & Country Club.
