Everett Schools: Rohla’s education a plus for board

I am a child mental health specialist and licensed counselor who has worked in Everett Public Schools for many years. I also serve as adjunct faculty at Eastern Washington University and founded the Counselor’s Choice Award. I write to express my support for Dr. Ryne Rohla for the Everett School Board.

I have been fortunate to know Ryne since 2007, and I know he will provide Everett’s students the best chance to address the pressing problems they and their families face. As a father of Everett students, he is in touch with the safety and health concerns families face, and he brings practical and specific plans to address these problems.

As a Ph.D. economist, Ryne understands the complex fiscal responsibilities Everett Public Schools faces. He is best suited to properly balance the resources teachers, administrators, and support services need in tight financial times. As a local who graduated from Everett Community College, he understands the diverse needs of our community and its individual schools. As a former college instructor, Ryne understands schools serve many roles in our community beyond basic education.

For his down-to-earth, practical plans to improve the district, I endorse Ryne for the Everett School Board and urge readers to vote for him.
