Was lawmakers’ trip to Finland really necessary?

I don’t hold out much hope for meaningful changes, improvements or accountability, from a transportation committee led by a “junket junkie,” state Sen. Marko Liias, D-Edmonds, who felt it was necessary to travel to Finland to “see firsthand” what could have been gleaned through research and communication from Washington (“Edmonds senator leads transportation committee; what’s on the agenda?,” The Herald, Dec. 27)
I wonder what was the price tag for the information sojourn?
