Everett chamber of commerce marks return with first event

EVERETT — The Greater Everett Chamber of Commerce will officially launch with its first event 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the APEX Art and Culture Center, 1611 Everett Ave.

The event, “Brain Food,” will feature founder of APEX, John Carswell, and includes a buffet lunch.

Everett’s previous chamber of commerce merged with Economic Alliance Snohomish County in 2011. Since then, the business community in the city has lacked a chamber. Last August, the Everett City Council put $600,000 in one-time American Rescue Plan Act funds toward reviving the chamber.
