How quiet is Boeing’s 787?

Pretty darn quiet.
Technically, Boeing says its 787 has a noise footprint that’s 60 percent smaller than similarly sized aircraft.
Boeing offers several reasons noise reduction on the 787: the jet’s carbon fiber composite fuselage; more aerodynamic wings; a new generation of engine technology.
