Autumn is a shy senior who came to us as a stray. She may be nervous at first when meeting someone new, but she has been warming up to staff since her arrival. So far she seems to really enjoy chin scratches and ear rubs. (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)
The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.
Bear Bear is a friendly cat but also likes to have her independence at times. Even though Bear Bear is a technically a senior, she still enjoys playing with toys and climbing a cat tree. She has lived with other cats and dogs and has done OK with them. A slow introduction to any resident cats and dogs will ease the transition. She has not lived with young kids so they’ll all have to be supervised as they get to know each other. (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)

Don King is going to need an adopter who will help him keep his signature hairstyle in shape with daily brushing. He is rather handsome, don’t you think? He likes to nibble on timothy hay and should have an unlimited supply throughout the day. Don has been using the litter box in his cage really well. Don came back to us not liking his new room mate. This sassy bunny would prefer to be the only bunny in a home. All of our Rabbits come spayed/neutered and micro-chipped prior to adoption. Come and meet him! (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)
5 year old Ernie is a mellow guy. He enjoys the company of staff and volunteers but he prefers to sit next to you. He will need a gradual introduction to any resident pets or young kids. (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)
