ARLINGTON — Deputies arrested a gunman suspected of shooting another man northeast of Arlington on Wednesday.
Around 2:30 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the 9600 block of Arlington Heights Road, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. When they arrived, the suspect, 35, had apparently fled the scene.
Paramedics transported a man, 40, with a gunshot wound to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
About 40 minutes later, deputies located the suspect a few miles away in the 25000 block of 268th Street NE. He was expected to be booked him into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree assault.
Deputies believe the suspect and the wounded man knew each other, the sheriff’s office reported.
It remained an active investigation.
