MARYSVILLE — Police arrested two women Thursday in connection with a June 1 shooting in Marysville that left a man with life-threatening injuries.
The shooting occurred while a group was trying to rob a drug dealer, police said. Gunfire was reported about 2:45 a.m. outside the Wishing Well apartments along 88th Street NE. A 39-year-old Kent man who allegedly was in on the robbery was shot three times in the neck and back.
Detectives received a tip that the women, who allegedly were involved in the shooting, would be in town on Thursday, Marysville police Cmdr. Mark Thomas said. Police set up surveillance and watched them climb into a car with two others.
An officer pulled over the car and took the pair into the custody, Thomas said. The driver also was arrested for an unrelated crime.
Two other suspects, a 27-year-old Covington man and a 29-year-old Federal Way woman, were arrested on June 8.
Police are searching for one more man. He is wanted on suspicion of possession a firearm and delivery of a controlled substance.
