Genealogy, south county: Sno-Isle Genealogical Society meets 6:30 p.m. first Wednesdays (except July and August) at the Family History Center, room 13, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, 22015 48th Ave. W, Mountlake Terrace. Historical Society, Granite Falls: Meets next at 7 p.m. the last Monday of the month (except August) at The Village retirement center, 302 N Alder Ave. All welcome. No cost to attend.

Daughters of Norway: A sisterhood aimed at preserving Nordic heritage. Thelma Lodge 26 in Everett meets 10 a.m. third Saturdays (except June through August) at Normanna Lodge, 2725 Oakes Ave. Ingeborg Lodge 43 in Stanwood meets 10 a.m. second Saturdays (except July and August) at Sons of Norway Hall, 9910 270th St. NE. Elks: A fraternal order focused on charity, justice, brotherly love and fidelity with an emphasis on patriotism and belief in God. Freemasons: The Masonic Fraternity claims to be the oldest Fraternity in the world and seeks men (Masons) wishing to become better men through service and self-improvement.
