Darrington death investigated

DARRINGTON — The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious death in the 51600 block of Crawford Loop Road in the Darrington area.
Sheriff’s deputies received a call late Wednesday night from a man who said his girlfriend had shot herself, sheriff’s Lt. Kathi Lang said.
Detectives from the major crimes unit are applying for a search warrant and continuing the investigation.
The dead woman’s name was not released.
