MILL CREEK — A fire damaged a one-story house Thursday in Mill Creek.
Seven fire engines responded around 2:35 p.m. for reports of flames spreading into an attic of a home in the 2200 block of 179th Street SE, said Heather Chadwick, spokeswoman for Snohomish County Fire District 7.
Crews cut into the roof as they battled the fire until about 3 p.m.
No one was home. No one was hurt. The county fire marshal will investigate how the fire started.
A damage estimate was not immediately available.
