STANWOOD — A public hearing on a proposed 32-bed mental health treatment center near Stanwood has been postponed.
The hearing was scheduled for Oct. 27. In a Wednesday notice, Snohomish County Planning and Development Services announced the hearing had been canceled and will be moved to a later date. No reason was given for cancellation.
No new hearing date has been set.
The center is proposed at 300th Street NW and 80th Avenue NW north of Stanwood. It will offer treatment for up to 32 adults involuntarily committed for psychiatric disorders.
The project cleared an environmental review last month, though it faces pushback from neighbors. The county hearing examiner was expected to review a conditional-use permit application at the hearing later this month.
County staff did not immediately respond for request for comment.
