Police officer sentenced: A Pierce County Superior Court judge has sentenced a former Steilacoom police officer to 3 1/2years in prison for imprisoning a teenage boy and forcing him to fondle himself. Samuel Nelson, 34, pleaded guilty in September to sexual exploitation of a minor and unlawful imprisonment with sexual motivation. According to court papers, the defendant tried to get the teen to perform oral sex on him or accept it from him. Nelson told investigators his actions were not sexually motivated and that he was trying to scare the 17-year-old boy, whom he had found in a car involved in sexual activity with his girlfriend.
